The installation of BOINC is performing RADIO TELESCOPE RESEARCH. It is helping to search for Pulsars -- the very same thing that K1JT (the creator of WSJT-X) got his Nobel Prize for...
I find it very ironic that hams would generally object to running software which furthers research into RADIO ASTRONOMY.
Or am I the only one who gets this irony?
Granted -- if running BOINC causes you issues, please get in touch with me. I'll help you fix it. But if not, why wouldn't you want to further RADIO TELESCOPE RESEARCH?
