It doesn't take long to compress a file before offering it to folks to download. That only makes sense and I guess I send the message as did others for the same reason.

The successor to the "W3DJS Raspberry Pi for Ham Radio Image v2.0" is "HamPi 1.0" which has an expected release of next weekend -- one week before Field Day.
HamPi is compressed using "XZ" and the compression process by itself takes 45 minutes, but results with a 3GB compressed image file. Fortunately, decompressing it is a fraction of the time to compress.
