Re: W3DJS Raspberry Pi Ham Radio Image v2.0 Released

Hello Dave,
I copy/Paste the messages I had left on your QRZ page :

Hello Dave,
Thanks for your job.
I have just made the 32Gb card, using Win32DiskImager under windows 7 and works like a charm on RPi4 4Gb.
Before eject the card, I have added the empty ssh filetext at the root of the card to permit a ......ssh connexion ( :) ) at first boot
Thanks to the forum, I got the RPi ok on my home network ( I was confused with the hotspot dand did not understand why the dhcpcd.conf file was empty :) it is always the first file I edit when run a RPI card for the 1st boot. Maybe a readme file could be a good idea).

I will install at first step : ( maybe some ideas for your future V3 ... ;) )
DSD FastLane

RTL_433 ( receive meteo stations and some other devices such as the tires pressure of the cars on the road in front of my home :) , funny...

Kalibrate ( or calibrate ) to get the PPM correction to apply on the USB Sticks.

for ADSB ModeSmixer2 and Virtual Radar Server (VRS) ( search google)

For pocsag, a beautfyull job : see

Another application about pocsag Flex hermes and so on exists, "Boswatch "but I met some bugs ( with Python, SQLand PHPmyAdmin in their new versions), and I stopped to work around.

Hi Again.

I needed to upgrade my HackRF one since it was in a drawer since years.:eek:
I got some error about the compiler.( Cmake .. errors path etc.)

The solution is : apt install gcc-arm-none-eabi
after this install you can run the Cmake to obtain the firmware file .bin

I propose another pleasant app to get remotely infos about the system : WEBADMIN (sourceforge)
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install perl libnet-ssleay-perl openssl libauthen-pam-perl libpam-runtime libio-pty-perl apt-show-versions python
wget ( or newer version)
sudo dpkg --install webmin_1.890_all.deb

access via or hostame:10000

do not worry about ssl message ( invalid certificate)

Hope that could be usefull.

Thanks again,
73,
Regards from France,
Jean-Philippe F5GKW
