Well in realaity, I think we all do!
The Larkspur a40/A41 flexible thing does fit and therefore the whip that goes with it fits the flexible, so there is an alternative available.

If the initialisation procedure is similar to the 3900 VHF set, another group member helped me get on the right track.... Turn COMSEC switch to INIT, and power-on the set. After a bit INIT DONE

Bruce, I should have looked in the box. Yes those are the same numbers that are on the handsets I have here. They are wired differently, but can be easily converted to work with the Racal radios.
