I think many of us miss the Yahoo groups for the reasons you mentioned. Unfortunately, Yahoo chose to pull the plug on all of those.

I'm in the same boat as you, in that I gave up FB several years ago. Yes, it would be nice to have an alternative site to exchange ideas and info. I suppose that it will depend on how much interest it generates.
