About fw v.0.16
Hi Oleg, first i'have to say. Thanks, for this really nice Project.
here some notes about my experience ... 1. it would be nice if it is also possible to save memory channels in all band secments and modes 2. rx/tx bpsk 3. rx/tx wspr 4. rx/tx some messaging app, js8cal or varachat or what else. maybe simpley winlink 5. logbook sync, for example with Ham Radio Delux over Wifi in my opinion i'see this device like a mobile (in wildernis) communication device. like get weather infos or email over winlink without pc or some tablet. Listen Radio Broadcast Station for News. finaly, where to send a donation? 73, dl8mmr, mario |
x6100 with R1CBU Firmware and Hamradio Deluxe
I cannot get hamradio deluxe to work with this configuration, under the official firmware, it connects fine using Icom and IC-7000 settings, at some point would be nice if this would work please.
Thanks for all the hardwork on the R1CBU firmware, its great! |
new feature request? more visibility to mode
Got the latest v0.18. Works great, AFAICT.
Is this a place where I can make a request for the software group that does this? If so, then let me explain as to what I really need. I use the x6100 (R1CBU software) exclusively to do POTA activations. When I am under a pavilion or a nice big shade tree, I have no problems. When I am in the direct sunlight, I can barely see the screen. I can kinda see the waterfall, and see what frequency I am on, but I can't see anything else at all. I start my activation doing FT8 so I am in usb-data mode. I like to get my 10-15 contacts there, and then switch to phone (usb mode). Also sometimes I like to do 40m, and likewise I can't see if I am in LSB mode. So what I would really like is the mode to be right along side (or above, or below) the frequency at the SAME font (or bigger!). So I can do the switch. I hope, I made myself clear. This 75 year old guy with minor cataract problems has a hard time sometimes. Thanks for your time, and patience! Jerry WF5W

V19 VHF/UHF
Bryan, KJ7PRS
Greetings,
Thanks for all that you do, it is making the radio better to use in many ways. ? I tuned to simplex 146.550 and transmitted. ?It appeared to transmit but my other radios did not hear it. ?I transmitted with my other radios and received no signal on the X6100. ?I tuned VHF and UHF and found no signals. ?Is this working? If VHF/UHF can work we could maybe get APRS? ?Even if we have to use a Mobilinkd dongle. ?We could even get into WINLINK. Thanks again, Bryan KJ7PRS |
Re: V19 VHF/UHF
Hi It says Transverter,? That is because you need a Transverter for the radio to do VHF/uhf, Dave On Sat, 25 Nov 2023, 20:02 Bryan, KJ7PRS via , <martinfab=[email protected]> wrote: Greetings, |

The X6100 is a HF + 6 meter QRP transceiver, it does not have VHF/UHF capabilities.? As Dave pointed out, you need a transverter, a separate piece of equipment, to operate on the VHF/UHF bands with the x6100.? Trying to transmit on a band not included in the hardware capabilities could possibly damage the radio.? A firmware upgrade alone does not give the radio the capability to operate in bands that are outside of the hardware design limits.? If you are looking for an all band radio, the X6100 is not it by itself.? Look for a Yaesu FT-991A or equivalent to get that kind of coverage.
The X6100 is a great little radio and performs well within its design limitations, I have one and have worked Alaska, Cayman Is., Spain and Hawaii on SSB using a VG4 multi-band vertical on 10 watts.? The only thing I would like to see is FM Repeater capabilities on 6 and 10 meters, (ability to program offsets and pl tones). Hope this helps. 73 Phil W7PLC |

开云体育My mistake, ?I quickly watched the video. ?I had read a post a while back where someone thought it may have that capability. ?I was doubtful. ? I have a 705 and 7100 so I’m good. Thanks for the responses. ?Stay healthy. On Nov 25, 2023, at 13:44, Phil Cornell w7plc@... <w7plc@...> wrote:

ACC Control Problems
My X6100 is tied to a XPA125B amp using the ACC cable for auto band control. When using your firmware (which is great, thanks!) the XPA125B will constantly jump between bands while transmitting. The setup auto tunes fine with stock firmware. Is there a setting related to ACC in your firmware that I am missing? It's not that big of a deal, since I can easily use the XPA125B manual mode. Thanks again for the work you've done for the X6100 community.
Update: Don't think this had anything to do with R1CBU software. I stumbled on a message somewhere where somebody having a similar problem had placed separate power supplies on the X6100 and the XPA125B and it solved the problem. I did the same, and sure enough problem solved - I assume it was some sort of ground loop.? |
Re: V19 VHF/UHF
Hi Matt The radio does not do 2m 70cm without a Transverter unit connected, and I told him when I had seen the video that he was overloading his front end of the radio, Dave On Sun, 26 Nov 2023, 13:18 Matt 9V1MH/VK2AMH/YF2AAH, <matthoward.sg@...> wrote: |

开云体育I used the same setup yesterday with no issues. ?RICBU V19, X6100, XPA125B, in auto mode. Had several contacts.

v19 Feedback problem
Hi there!? I found that with the voice announcement turned on it develops loud feedback loop through the microphone.? I tried turning down all the other volume and gains to eliminate it but nothing works.? If I plug in a headset, or unplug the microphone will disable the feedback.? Not sure why the speaker/microphone is in feedback with the audio announcement.? Interesting problem
