That is because you need a Transverter for the radio to do VHF/uhf,

I tuned to simplex 146.550 and transmitted.? It appeared to transmit but my other radios did not hear it.? I transmitted with my other radios and received no signal on the X6100.? I tuned VHF and UHF and found no signals.? Is this working?

If VHF/UHF can work we could maybe get APRS?? Even if we have to use a Mobilinkd dongle.? We could even get into WINLINK.
