It was a pleasure to meet Tom at the conference. I really applaud the work
he is doing. Just a minor clarification, it is the DPLUS infrastructure
that is looking for a specific authentication (not

Linking to G2/G3 reflectors and repeaters
At the Digital Communications Conference in Albuquerque last month, John Hays, K7VE, told me that the G2/G3 Trust system has changed how gateways/users are authenticated. I got the technical details

Re: new release!
You¡¯ll have to try it, but it is unsupported. Generally, you should only be connected to QuadNet on one device. The IP address limitation is not your local IP, but your WAN IP. We haven¡¯t tested

Unfortunately when I incorporated new code to support the Icom Stack repeater, I inadvertently introduced a bug that prevented you from properly receiving a one-to-one Callsign Route.? You could

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
HI Colby,
I have mentioned to our group about the whitelist and blacklist function and understood the purpose of that function. I will look into the option you provided. Thank you.

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
Keep in mind you could run one that isn¡¯t open to the public either. Most reflector software has a whitelist or blacklist function, and I know for sure ours does, so you could open it up to only

You are right, and it is more efficient to do that. Thanks.

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
That would make sense.
In your case, especially if you plan on adding repeaters to the mix, an x-reflector would make the most sense, since you can link multiple repeaters to any module you want.

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
HI Colby,
Thank you for the advice. I will relay the information to our group. I think the reason why our guy could not like the repeater to the XRF, is because their system is not updated with the

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
The file is located in /usr/local/etc/gwys.txt
Just edit that file. Once the edits are done, do systemctl restart qnlink.
Personally, I would link the two repeaters to an XRF reflector. If you

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
Make sure you¡¯re using the correct CQCQCQ. In order to pass the reflector, you¡¯ll have to either program the radio with a Your call of CQCQCQ, or go into the menu and select the Use Reflector

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
The problem is likely the repeater is not in your host files. Repeaters generally are not, only reflectors. It could also be, as Will stated, that the repeater owner is disallowing users linking

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
It's possible for repeater owners to lock down their repeaters for linking to and may want you to link to reflectors only.
