ITAP seems to have stopped working after update
I updated the QNetGateway software and i can't seem to get the radio to communicate and link and such. I looked at the journals and i think they are working but the qnetgateway isn't scrolling as much as i remember. I have attached a screenshot.

Re: Linking to G2/G3 reflectors and repeaters
It was a pleasure to meet Tom at the conference.? I really applaud the work he is?doing.? Just a minor clarification, it is the DPLUS infrastructure that is looking for a specific authentication (not Icom/US Trust). A little background. When a client is participating in the DPLUS (REF) network, there is a handshake at the beginning/startup of the session.? One of the effects of the handshake is a current list of known DPLUS reflectors and their IP addresses are provided to the client.? During the same time frame as the DCC, some widely used clients were failing to authenticate and get these updates.? I contacted Robin Cutshaw (AA4RC) and we found a couple of things.? First, many of the clients were using an old hostname to authenticate against and that prevented failover to redundant servers that the network provides.? Second, the reason that the clients were failing is that they were hitting a single server which was crashing, most likely due to bad code attempting to authenticate.? This has been a continuing problem for the DPLUS network, where someone will write some new code and not have all of the details.? It is probably a case of not knowing, rather than being malicious.? I am not aware of any case where Tom's code has been the problem, it just was a good opportunity to pass along some information he could apply to his code. With the information Tom received, he will be able to provide better service by giving his client(s) the ability to 'failover' during authentication and also get the updated DPLUS reflector list from the DPLUS server infrastructure. Thanks. In the meantime, you should probably not attempt to link to G2/G3 reflectors or repeaters using QnetGateway as that activity might get you banned on the Trust system. I know that some of you have very recently connected to these systems successfully, but that could change at any time.
I will post another message when a new version with proper authentication is available.

You’ll have to try it, but it is unsupported. Generally, you should only be connected to QuadNet on one device. The IP address limitation is not your local IP, but your WAN IP. We haven’t tested it since we fixed all the other follow me stuff, but in theory, I think it SHOULD work. You’ll only be able to use one at a time (if it even works at all). Keep in mind, you can only forward port 40000 to one hotspot, so only one will be able to do call sign routing unless you move the port forward.

Unfortunately when I incorporated new code to support the Icom Stack repeater, I inadvertently introduced a bug that prevented you from properly receiving a one-to-one Callsign Route.? You could still complete the call, but you had to manually enter your return path into the YourCall field of your radio. This has been fixed and QnetGateway, QnetRelay and QnetDVAP have been update to fix this problem.
Thanks to Carty, KA2Y for bringing this to my attention.
Don't forget there is an "Updating QnetGateway" Wiki page on this site if you need help in updating your software.

Wouldn’t take long to set up either. A good option would be
a cheap OpenVZ or KVM vps with a static IP running just the

your needs nicely. Then, the repeaters would only need to

Hi Colby,
How do I add repeater on the host files? I was a member of
the PAPA System and we were instructed and informed that
after you link their repeater to the reflector or other
repeater that you are responsible to unlink them, so I was
thinking their system is open. I will ask them on the next
meeting. Thank you.

It's possible for repeater owners to lock down their
repeaters for linking to and may want you to link to
reflectors only.

Re: Linking Repeater to another repeater
Make sure you’re using the correct CQCQCQ. In order to pass the reflector, you’ll have to either program the radio with a Your call of CQCQCQ, or go into the menu and select the Use Reflector CQCQCQ. ? Colby ? ?

Hi Will,
Thank you. I will try other repeaters. I just wanted to make that
it is working.
