wsjt-x 2.7.0-rc7 issue with QMX+

[email protected] All Messages By This Member #134635 I have been using wsjt-x 2.7.0 rc6 for a while because of the improvements around superfox mode.?? ? A couple of days ago I decided to move to the new pre-release version, rc7.? I have been having trouble getting rc7 to connect to my QMX+.? I am doing this on Windows10.? Today I rolled back to rc6 and everything works fine.?? ? I know that rc7 is now being built off of a different repo, (wsjtx-improved), and I believe that rc6 was being built off of wsjt-x.? I am not sure of that.? I do notice that rc7 now includes the ability to move to older or newer versions of hamlib, and I suspect that might be the issue. ? I was wondering if anyone else has tried to move to rc7, and if the problem was something related to my machine or others are having the same issue. ? Thanks Mark, W8GU

I was actually starting to build from source code in preparation to see if there is a simple fix to the "Error in Sound Input" issue (e.g. /g/QRPLabs/topic/107793013#msg127382) ? When the connection to the QMX sound card goes away while WSJT is running, I always have to go to the Settings/Audio menu and reselect the proper sound in Windows. Not a big issue, but I get annoyed and as a software developer, I thought I should jump into the code and have a look. ? I guess it is time to wait a while to let things stabilize.? With all the changes coming in on rc7,? maybe the problem will go away. ? Mark

It would work if I chose the Kenwood TS-480 radio but would take a full ten seconds to respond to the CAT test with a green window. I expected a Windows or laptop problem but all is well after installing the v2.6.1 release of WSJT-X.
