Assembled Kits Status Page
Dear Hans, I know that you guys are extremely busy, and please don't take this as a criticism in any way.
?
Would it be possible to update the Assembled status page with the numbers of assembled units shipped in the months since August 24, just so we have an idea of how many units are assembled and shipped each month?
It also has not been updated since 3rd December, after normally being updated once a day on working days.
?
I appreciate your hard work, and if it's too much to regularly update the page, that's fine, I just wanted to flag it in case you had delegated the task to someone else and were not aware it had not been completed for a week (almost) or so.

Hello Stefan I have updated the page and the statistics for September-November.? We have 47 assembled transceivers piled up (see attached) all signed off, addressed and ready to go except for their self-adhesive feet. My colleague?in charge of testing and adjustment also has two piles next to her desk, which I believe have to be added to the 47 in the other office room. I had 22,000 new self-adhesive feet on order but today I have found a more local source, which I can get domestically from a company in Istanbul. These are advertised?on Amazon TR as "Transparent Soft Close Drawer Cabinet Door Bumpers - 8 mm x 1.5 mm Sound Dampening Adhesive Clear Rubber Pads Feet - Hemispherical Shape" (see photo attached). So I have ordered 1,000 of these and they are alleged to be due to arrive on 12-14 Dec.? If these new rubber pads work out well then I will in future use these for everything. I have a strong suspicion that they will be preferable to the black rubber pads supplied so far; the lower profile and the curved shape will? probably make them less likely to fall off, which is a bit of a tendency with the black?ones.? 73 Hans G0UPL On Mon, Dec 9, 2024 at 3:39?PM stefanpynappels via <stefan.pynappels=[email protected]> wrote:

Thanks for responding Hans, I really appreciate you taking the time and making the effort.

Those door/drawer bumper stickers are also very easy to source locally if they do fall off, and are guaranteed not to mark whatever surface the rig is put on, even if they get rather warm. Nice choice.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYes Hans, every one of my kits have had the black feet fail, ?the case gets warm? and the feet ?slide across the base. Simple fix remove, clean and a tiny spot of Cyanoacrylate. No more problem.

Yes, many of my rubber stick-on feet have fallen off or wandered across the bottoms, leaving sticky trails behind. So I removed ALL the feet and replaced them with loop type 3M Velcro stick-on strips. These don't come off or wander. Radios don't mar surfaces and are quiet.?
I don't have a problem with the radios sliding around as I also have a board with hook type Velcro stick-on strips. This lap 'table' is what I use for my portable operations. It works great on my lap or a picnic table or my shack desk.?

Maybe this information will help.
The feet on my two QDXs have also lost their grip. I then carefully removed the adhesive film residue and reattached the feet with Pattex Compact Classic. Since then everything has been fine. A lot of rubber feet have this problem, especially if the adhesive surface is placed with a film. Since the feet should also match the housing visually, I usually take the trouble to clean them (isopropanol) and use a separate, permanently elastic adhesive. ?
