QDX
Hi Phil, Hans sent out a note a few days ago letting us know that the senior and junior lab techs are overwhelmed with the response to orders for 462 QDXes in 14 minutes. The collapse of the server database (for all products) into a virtual molten heap didn¡¯t help.? Add to that an error where screws weren¡¯t packed with cases and the vagaries of the outgoing shipping supply chain in his neck o¡¯ the woods in Turkey. It¡¯s going to be weeks before QDXes start showing up on anyone¡¯s doorsteps in large numbers.? Be glad you will receive your order in time for a late Fall (U.S. Thanksgiving?) or Winter holiday ¡ ?shades of thousands QCX Mini deliveries and the power component glitches last year. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI ordered some NON QDX kits recently and they were shipped within 2 days and are in the hands of TNT. So it looks like the process is still working. I suspect that parts availability may impact shipping times on some products.?Dave VE7HR ? On Oct 21, 2021, at 8:26 AM, Faisal Akber (VA3SFA) <faisal@...> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI just rcvd a tracking message from Fedex telling me that they have a delivery for me due to arrive on the 25th. It was sent to Fedex from "Summers International" which I assume is Hans. However .....? The QRP LABS order page shows my QDX as "complete" as the only state, there is no "shipped" and if I use the Summers tracking number on the Fedex email I get a message that says "this tracking number does not exist". !!!Go Figure ....? I guess I have to wait until the 25th to see what happens? :=)) 73 Hew VA7HU On 2021-10-21 8:26 a.m., Faisal Akber

Hi Hans, |
I was going to ask how many seconds after 1800z you all got your orders in on, but even I am not that sarcastic.? (Or am I?) No email here yet.? Keep us posted when one of you guys receive the QDX!? ?Good to hear they are shipping!? Hi all I'll hopefully say this once for the record and the process will be clarified:? 1. Not being (yet) Amazon, QRP Labs has limited capacity, and therefore 450 orders take some time to handle. Please be patient! 2. I did reconcile the order database against all the PayPal, credit card and bank transfer receipts, to finalize the order list, and resolve many minor details and issues. We have now started shipping, working through the list.? 3. We are shipping, normally, in chronological order... namely, which second after 1800Z on 11 Oct your order went through... 4. QDX orders will be shipped either from Turkey, or at our discretion, for some US customers, from US - see http://qrp-labs.com/shipping#where. Shipping from US to US doesn't make it cheaper but means another set of hands working on it, so helps get through the list quicker, and ships faster.? 5. QRP Labs shop will send you a shipment notification email when the status changes from "Complete" to "Shipped". Some US email domains can't receive QRP Labs emails due to draconian spam policies e.g. charter.net. Also check your spam filter because mails could be put there.? 6. The notification email will contain the tracking number if the order is shipped from Turkey by either TNT(FedEx) or post office airmail if you selected that. We don't normally include tracking numbers for domestic US shipments which usually only take a few days and are very reliable.? 7. If your order was shipped by TNT(FedEx) you will also receive a tracking email from them. The email from TNT is sent at the moment we book the TNT shipment. But it may be some hours or the next day until my colleagues mark the order as shipped in the order database that notifies you of the shipment via an email from QRP Labs.? 8. If you ordered using a registered QRP Labs shop account then you can also log in and see the same information.? 9. If you email me asking about the status of your QDX shipment, I'll answer similarly to this email, but I have piles of emails and I often can't answer immediately. It slows me down more and isn't preferred.? 10. We take post office airmail packages to the post office each day.? 11. We have a FedEx truck pick up the TNT(FedEx) packages daily except on public holidays, Sundays, and when our FedEx driver gets Covid19 and there's a delay of a day or two until he can get his cousin to step in. Which has happened twice already, so on a lightning-doesn't-strike-the-same-place-THRICE basis, he should be alright going forward.? 12. The FedEx truck takes the package 250km North to the nearest TNT depot. This journey takes a few days and is not accounted for in TNTs delivery estimate. During this time the package shows as "Collecting". So do NOT believe the estimated delivery date! And don't bother to call TNT since they'll just tell you they don't have the package yet. Just be patient for it.? 73 Hans G0UPL http://qrp-labs.com |
Sorry ¡°William¡± you must wait patiently like the rest of us haha!

Yeah, that is what you get for asking permission first.? I tend to beg for forgiveness instead.? :). At about a hundred bucks total, that wasn't even sleeping on the couch territory for me.? Hopefully this crazy clown world will end, supply chains will function again, and Hans will be able to get STM32s again.? But you had to be in the first 14 minutes to get one... There were only 450 available.? I suspect eventually there will be more.? It's such a clever little rig..? Fred W0FMS?
