Re: "Locked by terminal app" - and no way out. #qmx #bug
Hello Karl Heinz I already discovered a way, in the SteppIR controller project, for a terminal session closure to be detected in the firmware. So if you close PuTTY (or other) then the QMX firmware

Re: Tune Rate Cursor - QMX+ #QMXplus
SADLY, the problem is back. My options for a solution are becoming less clear. I thought I had resolved the issue but no joy. When I put the top on the QMX+ the problem returned. It seems that slight

Re: Another USB port question (requests?)
Hi Dick Yes, I added turn off command to my Dev list. But for turning back on again you'd have to arrange some hardware like the relay I suggested. 73 Hans

Re: QMX Kit
Hi Krzysztof I always ask people to check everywhere, they have even been found stuck inside the 3.5mm jack (would not apply on the kit you have, as that socket is in another bag anyway). In 90% of

Re: A nice thread in QRZ forum
It is absolutely deserved! In addition to the amazing devices from QRP labs, I am blown away by the fact that these are affordable, high quality electronics, and come in kit form. Cheers!

Re: QMX Kit
Hello, before assembly I count all components and arrange them on a special silicone pad with tabs. No element could be lost without my control. This capacitor was not in the bag. Krzysztof SQ9GIN

Re: A nice thread in QRZ forum
As it seems to becoming "more and more official" I will express my apologies for having doubted you'd win *this* year! ?Congratulations are well deserved.

Re: Tune Rate Cursor - QMX+ #QMXplus
Thanks Ron. I'll give it a try, UNFORTUNATELY, my issue is with the switch portion of the encoder and I doubt that this will be a fix. -- 73, Rick VE7TK Website: https://www.ve7tk.ca/ (

Re: QDX: Troubleshooting high output power
Good!? I'm glad you found the issue, much simpler fix... And before you do lots of work on the receiver, listen to it and see if it has good sensitivity. And take a look at the QMX operation manual -

Re: QMX article in the QST
Curious, why would you think that is an upgrade? And the LT6231 is a single op-amp device, and the current devices on the QMX are dual op-amps, so no, it is not a drop-in replacement.

Re: QDX - output dropped from ~5W to ~2W
There is no matching requirement for the four BS170s, so there is no benefit to replacing them all. Be aware that transient high SWR that can occur with an ATU causes voltages at the BS170 that
