Re: My QDX went almost deaf (something's wrong with op-amp bias?)
Protection-wise, I think the best bet is having a current limiting power supply set up for something like 1.2A. Right now I'm using a buck converter to knock a beefy 12V supply down to 9V. But, I

Re: toroid winding
Rich,
Forget the string. Ive been clamping toroids in my hobby vise for years and never cracked any. I see your vise has rubber protectors. Should be very safe.

Q: Preferred coax vendors, stateside
Hi all
Who's the stateside coax vendor you'd use based on service, quality,
and price, in no particular order?
This would be for non-QRO applications.
Thanks in advance, and 73

T1 secondaries very different frequency response
#qcxmini
In building a 20m Mini I started with the BPF so that it could be isolated for measurement using a NanoVNA.
The leads of T1 used for measurement were not soldered to the board.

Hi Rick,
I also saw highly variable output level on my SigGen with 6 LPF filter board combo, depending on the frequency. I tried using a single BS170 buffer, but still got quite a variation in output

FYI in the current schematic J3 and J4 are reversed. J4 is the 12 VDC input.on the PCB.

Hans, will you be offering a kit of components to convert a low-band QDX kit for high-band use?

My QDX is dead. No transmit and no receive.? I had a problem with my coax connector at the antenna and it was seeing high SWR (about SWR 5) which is high but not that high. Built for 12v operation I
