Re: QDX ... Other modes? #qdx
Tried RTTY and PSK31 using FLDIGI on Linux out of curiosity.? RTTY works, PSK31 does not, as it is not a frequency shift mode - I did wonder if the phase would be a sort of frequency shift, but

I had the same problem with Raspberry and changing the USB cable helped.

Re: #qdx Low RX levels, but not totally gone. Not sure where to look. #qdx
Elwood, Are the RF sweeps done with a 50ohm dummy load connected and the case closed?? The response can be influenced by the antenna if connected, as we as noise from devices in the shack. The

Just thought I'd jump in with similar issue here. Unit transmits admirably but all-but deaf on receive. * Reheated all L12 leads set to 800 F; * reheated and confirmed values for C28-31 also; *

QCX Rev2 upgrade to T1.09a problem
I've searched archives for this and found little. Tried to burn the latest T1.09a micro for my older rev 2 QCX using avrdude. I received both the .hex and .eep files from Hans. I have an AVR pocket

The resolution of your video monitor can affect the size of text displayed ... also, in the WSJT-X main window, click File / Settings / General and on the right side you will see buttons for "Font"

Hi Alan et allia. I have not tried the remname yet but have got it to do FT8.? Made two contacts this morning on 40M.? Power is a little low 3.7 watts, but should be able to tweak the LPF coils a

Re: QDX Heat and Mod
What I was trying to say is that the measurement accuracy wouldn't be affected.? Of course poor heatsink contact (and so reduced radiating area) will make the transistor run hotter. -- Paul Elliott -

WSJT-X fontsize
This is not a strictly QRP Labs question, but I acquired a QDX, downloaded WSJT-X, and fired it up.? The problem is that the menu headings and all of the text in the menu items in WSJT-X is in such a

Paul, Neat picture. I don't have any sophisticated measuring equipment, just a cheap Harbor Freight IR thermometer, but it does correlate well with other temperature measurements. I am surprised that

Andy, Divide that 7809 heating by at least 2 as tx duty cycle is less than 50%. Empirically, most of the temperature rise of the finals is coming from the finals themselves. Reason for saying this is

If I read correctly, you have some communication between QDX and computer. Have you run the Terminal app built into QDX? Most of the time PuTTY software is used on the computer to communicate with

Re: No handshake with computer. Computer does not see the QDX at all.
Use Device Manager - Properties - Port Settings - Advanced to change the USB one (QDX) to an unused number. Note, as the manual says, for CAT use TS440. Any other is less suitable. And set Polling to

Re: QDX ... Other modes? #qdx
Thanks for the reminder, BTW.? Linux will be Ubuntu 22 or later, Debian 11 or later?(x86 or ARM) due to Qt5 library versioning. Windows 10 and 11 are supported.? MacOS is a mystery at this point.

The rest of the answer is that for Linux, it will be a zip install with a shell script to start the program. Easiest way (for me) to manage Linux updates is a little script that can do a git pull of
