Re: QCX: Start-up issue, correct solution
It is neither a high voltage nor high current application. Just about any small Schottky diode should work. <simon.oliver90@...> wrote:

Re: QLG1 GPS battery charging
Alan, Yes, the RF module's description is confusing. I couldn't ascertain whether pin 22 (Vbatt) would source current to charge the battery or not. By measuring the battery voltage in my unit (it

Still cant get my QCX to display anything other than blocks. Not even got to the alignment part yet. Might the Diode trick work? I have a spare Schottky Diode but not sure of its specs.

Re: Power on issue solved on my QCX :-)
What do you mean regarding encoder noise ? Make sure you try Hans solution as well, /g/QRPLabs/message/17414 It makes sense as you have already tried lowering C47 and it has an effect

Re: QCX 3D Printed Stand
Nice work! It printed nicely. Now it would be really great if you or someone with design experience could go to the next step and make a full 3D case for the OCX.? Thanks again Phillip.? Pete WK8S

I tried to de-solder L5, but it didn't survive :-( So until I can get a replacement I've linked the top L5 hole (Pin 20 and C36 end) to the Pin 7 end of L6. And now mine starts up first time every

Hi Daniel You probably right. My logic is that spikes/pulses can be reduced with low value caps say 0.1uF........... Larger caps say 470uF level out slow changing voltage levels but take a longer time
