I suspect not everyone thinks the same way as you Andreass and anyone stating about a purchase from QRPLabs on the QRPLabs reflector hardly classifies as spam now does it?

If the wire from the PSU to the U3S is a few feet long, try putting something like 470uF or 1000uF across the +5V input connections right at the U3S board.? That has helped here with similar

to address the question of which band --
at this time in the sunspot cycle - 40m is the most active.? the higher bands are open occasionally.?
30m also a nice choice as CW tends to be less
