at this time in the sunspot cycle - 40m is the most active.? the higher bands are open occasionally.?
30m also a nice choice as CW tends to be less crowded.?
80m best in winter time with reduced QRN.?
you can later change bands, but its a decent number of parts changes in the PA and BPF, then you must re-calibrate - which may be fun using this rig.? in time, I imagine support for other digital modes, somehow - as it would provide a low cost rig for many youth around the world.? meanwhile, enjoy the ride.?
