Re: Help with QMX+ on CW
Stan, turns out it was the voltage protection. So, thank you. I sure wish the voltage readout on the radio had one more digit to show voltage to tenths of a voltage, as other QRP rigs do.
I've heard

Re: Qmx plus rev 2 not powering up
Azgael, if not alredy done please remove the black wire.
At least from 2 V up at gate of Q101 the voltage at drain should be near 0 V. You see 2.6 V at the gate, enough.
Please check voltage at drain

Re: Qmx plus rev 2 not powering up
Dear Stan
Now makes more sense this all thing.
Basically I do have continuity between the drain of Q102 and In of IC101, NO ISSUE on the Via as you and Ludwig mentioned.
Further debugging, I measure

Re: Max Voltage for QMX 9V
Thanks, Allision, for the definitive answer here. I've been using a buck converter to run my QMX off a 12V battery. I was hoping to come up with a ~9V LiFePO4 battery so that I can remove the buck

Re: Something new happened on the QMX receive audio doesn’t blank when mic is pressed.
So tonight I did a reset and calibration and the problem is gone. It was actually gone after performing the reset and a power cycle. Interesting thought on the power possibility. I was running it on a

Re: Something new happened on the QMX receive audio doesn’t blank when mic is pressed.
Something like that happened to me when my battery got close to the end. Seems that at the initial key down there’s a power drain beyond my limits. Changing batteries fixed the problem. I was

Something new happened on the QMX receive audio doesn’t blank when mic is pressed.
Has anyone else seen an issue where the receive audio stays on during transmit? I noticed it today. It happened on all bands and when I key the mic the receiver audio doesn’t blank. It’s not

Re: QMX+ Right button Diagnosing as "on"
Check that the tab on the display is bent over and not shorting the capacitor on the PCB. ?I went round and round on this symptom until I found it. ?You will have to carefully remove the display

Re: I just ordered a QCX+ kit
Pierre, good plan to mount the IC’s on sockets . I did so on my QCX kits.
Worked out great.
Enjoy the build.

QRM identification
Can anyone recognise qrm in attached picture?
Signals are spaced around 40khz.
It shows up randomly, no specific time patern so its hard to pinpoint the source.

Re: Tone or birdie every 500 Hz in USB mode
Stan,? Yes, I'm sure about that. After I read reports of that I checked for tones and birdies. I found a few birdies here and there, but not these tones. They also were not there at first with the

If you recently used the QMX+ system menu to switch from USB to LSB, that could be the problem.? If you did, and it is set back to USB, try setting it to LSB again, exiting the menus, then go back in

Re: I just ordered a QCX+ kit
Mike and Gary, Thanks for your comments. Building and then repairing the QDX was the most I could do. I'm using a soldering station set to 750°F with a very fine tip. I've carefully studied the QCX+

Re: Windows WSJT-X audio input level adjustment
I just had the same thing happen on mine. 3 kHz off in Digi mode. I have no idea what sequence of events triggered this or fixed it, but it's a bug of some sort in Hamlib, WSJT-X, or the QMX+

How do the terminal mode diagnostic tests look?
Don't forget to run the button and knob checks as well as the paddle check. Be sure the setting for what paddle mode you are using is set in the menu
