Re: QMX+ Strange Audio Artifact - Help, Please...
I was hoping for a simple solution for you. ?The possibilities are many now. ?So it’s hard to know what to tackle next without scoping some of the signals. if you do send it for a Cape Cod

Re: Power Failure on New Factory-Assembled QMX+
Tim, it's possible that a protection diode on one of the buck converter power supply boards has done it's job. You can replace the diodes, or buy new boards from QRP Labs, but if you aren't

Re: Toroids: Do I have these sorted correctly? #QMXplus
Thanks! To me it also looks like they have a different shape (with the shinier ones having more of a rounded curve), but it could be an optical illusion.

Re: Toroids: Do I have these sorted correctly? #QMXplus
You have it correct.? ?The "shiny" black toroids are coated with a glossy lacquer, but they do this by spraying while the toroid is laying flat, so one side of it is still flat black.? The "dull"

Re: Toroids: Do I have these sorted correctly? #QMXplus
Right. It's a bit tricky to really tell which "black" toroids are dull and which are shiny. I think I have it right though.

Re: mic test doesn't scroll up
This is because it is the only QMX screen that scrolls. This is a holdover from ancient times (1970's) when physical terminals had 80 cols and 24 rows, including a ubiquitous one called VT100.? The

Re: SSB audio distortion #qmx #SSB Firmware beta 1_01_003 release #qmx #ssb
If you are hardly getting any power out then the reason for distortion and only hearing peaks of voice is the dead zone Hans built into the QMX SSB in order to get the two-tone signal to pass through

Power Failure on New Factory-Assembled QMX+
My assembled QMX+ arrived from QRP Labs on Monday 24 March and today I have a problem. I powered the rig on and keyed my paddles, but heard only one dit before an 'S' displayed on the screen (high

Re: QMX+ Strange Audio Artifact - Help, Please...
Took a deep breath and removed C504. It measures about 500 uf so this cap is fine. No problem re-installing it. Other than my shaky hands! I did find an interesting thing while doing the testing. I

Re: mic test doesn't scroll up
It sure is! However it's useful for other stuff, and then I only need one console application. :) Fortunately for me, securecrt is not the problem. I believe I've gotten to the bottom of this thanks
