Re: #qmx+ Announcing new QMX+ 160-6m multimode transceiver kit
Hi Murat Bey Still catching up on the missed emails... QCX+ has the same top and bottom half of the enclosure. But the front and rear panels are somewhat different between QCX+ and QMX+ so you can't

Re: No receive QMX - help needed
Mitch, On Transmit and during LPF sweeps, the transmitter PA is the source of the signal. It is quite strong. During BPF RF sweeps, the source is CLK2, but it is highly attenuated on the LPF filter

Re: No receive QMX - help needed
OK. I've done some testing. On LPF sweeps and on transmit, the clock signal gets across R518, the 100K? resistor, just fine. In other words, I see the clock signal on the clock chip side of R518 and

Re: QMX Rev 3 Low Power Out Problem
Charles, mistakenly setting DMM to voltage shouldn't burn a cable. Please check some documents (the internet) how to connect a DMM to measure current. Don't know your DMM but using a DMM similar to

Ah, ok - thanks Hans! - so I missed that little detail about the upgraded Zener. Still I will try to always connect the USB side first before connecting the QMX, but you never know and I don't want to

Re: Mid Band PWA Revision #manual #pcbversion #qmx #build #documentation
What I've found so far is the PWA drawings in my V1.04a assembly manual do not match my Rev4 PWA, and because I can't read some of the reference designators on the PWA I'm not really sure what parts

Re: No receive QMX - help needed
John, one question. Is this the same FW problem messing the rf sweeps? Three or more times I had the situation my rf sweeps were looking? similar to those shown by Mitch. Cycling two times around the

Re: USB-PD trigger cable voltage rampup -> possible QMX damage? #qmx #9v #power
Hi Andreas I did some improvements to the firmware control loop many months ago and many firmware versions ago. In my subsequent tests - which I documented here https://qrp-labs.com/qmx/smpsstep.html

Re: No receive QMX - help needed
Mitch, going a bit further ... Image sweeps also rely on CLK2 and signal injection via a 100K ohm resistor. That appears to work OK! So what's up with the BPF sweeps? You mentioned that they looked

I see Hans has eliminated the option (PC board holes) to add zeners across the BS170 transistors.? I added 47V zeners to my QDXs and QMXs to protect against potential breakdown from bad SWR.? It

USB-PD trigger cable voltage rampup -> possible QMX damage? #qmx #9v #power
Hi, couple of weeks ago Hans explored an issue where a QMX could be damaged by input voltage ramps interferring with SMPS control and to some degree this could be mitigated by increasing the sampling

Mitch, With the exception of the 20m image sweep all the others look very good. I think you can disregard the 20m sweep, or better yet, cycle around the band selections and plot it a second time
