Interesting. I am using a straight key. So I am seeing this behavior on messages. I will hook up a paddle and see if that triggers the QMX to save the speed. Then I will try a factory reset.

Hans, On total volume cut ... my preference would be to keep absolute sidetone volume, if set that way, on, even if the volume knob is all the way down. I think that's the logical way to go. Roy

QMX Digital Modes Bug
Hans, Great work on the latest firmware release, your ability to envision a function and translate that into working code is amazing! Now that the bulk of CW issues are resolved and majority of

Jeff: I had removed L502 then I tried with my hot air station, screening off the local components but I couldn't budge it. How did you heat the AOD402? Earlier I had to replace BS170 after an SWR

Re: Subtle Q507 failure
Hello Chris, I have safely removed Q507 in two different rigs. ?Even though it’s a large device in close quarters, it can be removed. ?First careful remove L502. ? ?It’s best done by clipping

Re: #qmx #firmwaare 1_00_016 release (bug fixes) #qmx #firmwaare
Everything works fine for me as well with 016. 20 WPM, Lambic B, keyer reverse. No unexpected dits or dahs. Great work Hans! Thanks!

... actually, clock feedthrough can mess with * any* VNA measurements you might try involving the Tayloe detector.

Re: QDX RF filter sweep
Hi Matt The mux can tolerate small negative excursions without creating significant distortion. The VNA signal may be small enough to get by. In any case maintaining the bias is ' good

QCX WARC Party - February 2024
Hi all, tomorrow Monday, February 12, is the next QCX WARC Party. See https://www.qrp-labs.com/qcxmini/qcxwarc.html for all info, and remember we have new rules to encourage the use of QDX and QMX

Confirmed, after connecting 2 and 4 with a jumper wire as per instructions on the QMX Homepage the Hardrock 50 is triggered. Thanks @yuji and @Hans for your effort!

John Thank you for coming back! I should indeed consider the input impedance of the Tayloe detector when doing this. As for the follow-up questions: Yes the antenna port was terminated as per the

Re: QDX RF filter sweep
Matt one more thing... When you removed T2 and substituted the VNA was the band-switch mux still biased up at 2.5 volts? If so, how did you accomplish that? JZ
By John Z · #117921 ·
Re: QDX RF filter sweep
Matt, The input impedance of a VNA is 50 ohms. The input impedance of a Tayloe detector is quite complicated: very high at the clock frequency, falling away to very low at frequencies far

Re: #qmx #firmwaare 1_00_016 release (bug fixes) #qmx #firmwaare
Hi, I also have to do an additional Factory Reset from the terminal to clear the SWR sweeps. Before that, after the upgrade from 015 to 016 , the sweeps were garbage, and done with no output power!

Re: QMX: Immediate transmit after switch on
Hi Ben. I'd use an ohm meter and test the paddle's cord from the end that plugs into your QMX to verify no continuity between tip and barrel, then between the ring and barrel. And tap each paddle
