Re: #qmx PTT Control

Also, re: PTT output - PTT doesn't output when in CW mode when keying with an external straight or paddle key, so it's not a matter of CAT control being the culprit.

Need help with QMX issue.
I just finished my QMX this morning. Inspected the boards and solder joints. Loaded the FW#14 all went well until I restarted the QMX. The display had miscellaneous numbers etc. I posted on the FB

Re: qmx does not transmit in wspr mode
Same issue for me with the QLG2 most of the time. I did have one successful transmission, followed by many unsuccessful transmissions. I changed to a different GPS and on the first try it worked.

Re: best option for remote WSPR beacon?
Thanks Alan,
its something I'm familiar with as its what I'm using for my 60M
beacon. Its been running 24/7 on 12V without a glitch, but lower
voltage operation will be less stress on me :-)

Re: best option for remote WSPR beacon?
Ron,
I'd say the QDX with WSJT-X/ Rpi. Build for 12 volts, run at 9 volts or less.

Re: best option for remote WSPR beacon?
Also don't forget the rfzero, just add a 1w amp.
I have used both a U3s and the rfzero and the latter unit is definitely better.

Thanks for the heads up on this one.
