Re: Suspected faulty rotary encoder QMX Rev 2 80-20m kit build
Have you done a Factory Reset yet? What version of firmware are you running? (If you have done the reset, don't think there's any point in doing it again...) Paul

Re: QMX 10-20m LPF0 problem?
Hi Guys! This is my first post in this forum, and my fresh QMX 10-20m build seems to roughly follow the pattern that are posted here. QMX high band rev 2 RWTST transformer 12V 1_00_014 50¦¸ 5W QRP

Re: small fix: QDX manual_1_19.pdf
Hi Muhsin Please see previous reply, I already explained this. What works best in practice and what is predicted by theory is not always exactly the same. Calculation, modeling, simulation is all

Re: Suspected faulty rotary encoder QMX Rev 2 80-20m kit build
The original problem has resurfaced. It did not move with the encoders. I put the left encoder in place of the right, and right in place of the left. After this, initially turning the left encoder

Re: Suspected faulty rotary encoder QMX Rev 2 80-20m kit build
Hmmm... That it /moves/ with the encoder, is rather incriminating of the encoder... Did you say that you've replaced the encoder once? You might check that the switches on the encoder are opening

Re: Suspected faulty rotary encoder QMX Rev 2 80-20m kit build
Paul - the CCW seems to have resolved itsself. Maybe I was seeing ghosts. I swapped the encoders and as before the right side functions correctly. Now turning the left side is unresponsive in either

Put the keyer into straight mode.? Then simply hold down the paddle.

Hi Nino, Brandon-- Some random responses on my part: * I too have noticed that, when the frequency goes too far up or down, it gets "stuck" and requires a power cycle. Reported to Hans. * SSB

Re: Suspected faulty rotary encoder QMX Rev 2 80-20m kit build
Hi Brandon, Today I replaced the right encoder and the situation is still the same. In my opinion, it is not a hardware problem. Perhaps there should be something wrong with the board or the

Tune lock?
Using version 12. Is there a way to lock into transmit so I can measure output and/or activate a QRP tuner? Thanks and ¡®73 Jim WX8J

Hey Mike - I wouldn't worry too much about those readings - A lot of people have had similar numbers, see here

Re: QMX- High Power Output at 12 Volts?
Probing around is always something of a risk in that one slip can make your rig toast. That said, looking at the drain waveforms at the BS170 might provide a clue. Specifically the down level which

Re: QMX- High Power Output at 12 Volts?
It's crossed my mind that they might be particulary hot transistors. I don't know the current draw right off hand, nor have we keyed it long enough to notice any heating. We do have a scope.

Hi Muhsin No. The turns in the manual are correct. This has come up several times before. For a given inductance the theoretical number of turns by calculation is a non-integer. But practically

Re: QMX- High Power Output at 12 Volts?
That's quite a puzzle, Mike. I'm wondering if you guys won the lottery on BS170 transistor specs. Threshold voltage at the high end of spec will reduce output power and thresholds at the low end will
