Re: QMX 10-20m LPF0 problem?

Hi Guys!

This is my first post in this forum, and my fresh QMX 10-20m build seems to roughly follow the pattern that are posted here.

QMX high band rev 2
RWTST transformer
12V
1_00_014
50¦¸ 5W QRP dummy load

Audio sweep:

20M -14dB
17M -5dB
15M -7dB
12M -9dB
11M -14dB
10M -15dB

Sideband rejection looks a bit odd on 15 and 17m with a peaks around 1.9 - 2.1 KHz. See pictures

RF filter sweep:

20M -14dB (best -12dB at >15 - <17 MHz)
17M -5dB
15M -7dB
12M -9dB
11M -13dB
10M -13dB

Actually the 20m RF filter sweep looks very different to the one in the manual.
All the others look ok, though I am on the high end of the filter curve. Which is still ok I guess.

Image sweep:

20M -28.6dB
17M -32.1dB
15M -36.6dB
12M -34.0dB
11M -24.2dB
10M -33.0dB

So 20M (and 11M) maybe not super great.

Power output @12V - As reported by the Diagnostics menu

20M 3.5W
17M 4.4W
15M 5.8W
12M 2.9W
11M 3.5W
10M 3.7W

So what do you reckon?
Is it alive and needs a bit of tweaking or something fundamental wrong?

I took screenshots of everything, so if somebody wants the full set to compare against, let me know.

P.S:: I could increase TX power on 20m a little bit by squeezing the BPF0 bottom toroid, but it is a bit fiddly.
