In my opinion it is wrong for an email client (gmail, whoever) to BLOCK email without allowing you the chance to review it. It's arrogant (assumes they are 100% accurate at identifying spam, which is clearly?not the case) and it is condescending because it assumes I'm not responsible enough to be able to review spam email to decide if it is really spam or not or if I am interested in its contents. It's like "misinformation". Apparently we are all too stupid to decide for ourselves what is true information and what is false. Therefore our governments should decide for us, and only let us see the "correct" and "true"?information on social media (and obviously normal media). Great.? I was surprised to learn that Google blocks "spam" emails completely in this way.?

Nothing on my workbench. ?Biggest issue is what to take for three months on our annual trip south to get emergency treatment for acute vitamin D deficiency and Seasonal Affective Disorder. ? Need to smell the Soldersmoke and build a couple of QRP CW xcvrs while there and then write an article for our club paper to stimulate a few ¡°textbook Extras¡± to build something when we come back in the spring. ?Many of them can¡¯t even install a PL 259 or an Anderson Power Pole. ?I am leaning towards the Cricket 80 due to its low cost and no toroids to wind. ?Then maybe we can get an 80 meter club CW net going (very doubtful). But just to say they had built an xcvr and maybe even hang it on the wall as proof. ?Ha!

BTW, from another hobby (flight simulator), I learned the idea of using a MIDI controller as a control panel. The best of such things is Behringer X-Touch Mini which has a ton of buttons and encoders. I just can't stop imagining using it as an SDR control panel. Actually FlexRadio's iPad version supports MIDI controller as well.

This is totally true. Once you understood (hear) how QCX (mini) receiver is quiet (low noise floor) It is hard to forger =)
And also this is some kind of addiction when you got working xcvr assembled by yourself.
I already assembled (ordered) 2 QCX mini and 1 QCX+.
One sold (QCX+) and one give as a gift (QCX mini 40).
Now I am awaiting a shipment of QCX mini board and AGC pcb for experiments (custom enclosure).
Have to say that QCX rigs do not look under-baked like some other XCVRs

Ham radio is a fun hobby, and I most enjoy those having fun with the hobby.? I have learned so much from this forum and the comments, advice, and suggestions, that it's hard to take any criticism of how this is run seriously.? Filter out the negative.? Collaborate and have fun.??
