Re: QDX Query II

Hi Robbie, all You divide by 100 if what you measured is V-Peak. You divide by 400 if what you measured is V-Peak-to-Peak. So the question all comes down to, did you measure V-Peak or V-Peak-to-Peak?

I'm flummoxed as to where I got the 400 value from. I can only guess it's an errant value stored in my brain from when I did the full license exam at the end of last year. Oh well you learn from your

Re: Glad I didn't get a QDX!
The requirement was essentially how to stop the user running an existing PA and a new QDX on different bands, because let's face it, users are stupid and do stupid things! The solution offered works

OK, so set it to whatever you think the maximum might be ($75, $100, whatever), and cover the fees and unexpected contingencies. And when you see how the pricing falls out, either include (unlock)

Lol, you're correct Roger, no wonder it didn't get any better after I'd replaced the BS170s/ACT08 ha ha. I don't half feel a fool now for getting the formula wrong all this time! You've made my day -

If it is a Qrplabs dummy load, the manual says the formula is V-squared divided by 100, not 400. So you are getting about the correct 5 watts! 73 Roger 8P6RX ?Get BlueMail for Android ?

One possibility would be a Kickstarter or equivalent (even just a preorder using your existing system), which would not only give you some idea of the demand, and raise some funds ahead of time, but
