Re: LPF frequency curves

I just put the rest of the low pass filter things that I did, which were on different parts of the site, all in the same LPF folder now. The original LPF simulations were from 4 years ago. Sadly,

The synth puts out a more or less square wave which is worked on by the subsequent stages of amplification then filtering. A square wave is the fundamental and all the harmonics. I recall one guy

Re: QCX transmit power fading
Like anybody else I can only guess about the reason of your power fade, but my advice is to replace Q6. All the PA current is going through there and even the stronger MPS751 seems to develop problems

Re: QCX transmit power fading
I have seen this sort of thing (not on one of the QRP Labs kits, though) and found either a bad capacitor (heating and changing capacitance) or a bad inductor (heating and changing inductance). One

Re: QCX transmit power fading
Have you checked Vrf or power at the output side of C29, and then each stage of the LPF? I know of one case where there was 5W at input to LPF with each stage showing progressively less until only 1.8

[QCX40] And the beat goes on.....
Ok, I'm just not as sharp or something as I used to be?
Got this out together a bit ago. Turned it on, no smoke. Q1 got really hot in about 3 seconds. No display. Pulled Q3, got good input to look

Re: QCX transmit power fading
If it's on a good supply and not depleted batteries as Don suggested, check
if any components gets hot after some transmit, besides the Q1-Q3. Perhaps
a capacitor in the C25-C32 range ?

QCX transmit power fading
My 40m version seems to be having fading output power, literally going down with time on my 40m version.? I thought the finals were overstressed with my issues learning to use the GPS, as this

Re: Battery Voltage Meter

Kent,
Did you jumper pin 1 to pin 3 (B+ to DVM) ? ?See page 101 and 121 (where the pins are). ?You need to do this to allow the internal DVM read the battery voltage. ?Turning on the battery icon

Re: Battery Voltage Meter

You also need to jumper the tree pin connector close to the DC input, pin 1
to 3 (dvm input to +v).

I enabled the battery meter (Menu 7.2) and connected the QCX to a fully charged (13.1V) 18Ah battery.? The meter is there, but it's showing empty.? I modified Menu 7.3 from 13,800 to 12,000 to see
