Re: Adjustable Power Level
Yeah, precisely because an attenuator attenuates in both directions makes it unsuitable for this use case.

Re: Newly assembled QMX, SWR=1.5 with dummy load
Jan, First I would check the dummy load with a digital ohm meter. Is it actually 50 ohms? Next double check whatever cable or jumper you are using to attach the QMX to the dummy load. Check for shorts

Re: Trying to capture 2x16 LCD signal...
Hi Mike
It's already on my list, to provide a way to reduce QMX output power. And
in the end it the aim is that EVERYTHING that you can set on the QMX
itself, or in the terminal, should be

Re: CW Filters
Hello Hans
The 6996 kHz signal mixed with 7008 kHz will appear as -12 kHz (note the
sign) and 14004 kHz (removed in analog LP filter) at the ADC. Mixing it
with the 12 kHz IF results in -24 kHz,

Re: My QMX is turning off, when I reduce voltage under 10V
Hello Stojan
I have seen this issue before, where everything works normally at 12V but when the supply voltage is reduced, it stops working. I recall that it was due to a knocked off component on one

Re: QMX+ kit build - RX birdies on Digi and loud wide tone on CW
Kevin,
I presume this is with a dummy load?
I do not have a QMX but are you just seeing the filter bandwidth?
No, but are they so noticeable with an antenna? Spurii are often present but ~700Hz is

Re: I think I broke my QMX...
As Jason pointed out, L503 needs to be replaced. ?I always add an SMD protection diode across Q508. ?Much neater and easier.
I also see a few questionable solder joints where you can see the copper

Re: QMX+ kit build - RX birdies on Digi and loud wide tone on CW
15m CW - other bands are similar but with lower volume on the 600-750Hz tone range
15m Digi showing 4 tones at 700, 1400, 2100, 2800Hz.
Can anyone suggest what I can do to get rid of the wideband

Hello Ludwig and Randy,
QMX+ rev 1:
Q507 and the BS170's are replaced. Q507 and one BS170 was broken.
Still the same problem: No output.
Now I have an oscilloscope so I can proceed with the tests

The bottom diode, smd one, looks as though you have broken off the pad that
your larger diode is connected to.
This diode is no longer making a connection and likely needs to

Low/No RF output help (QRPlabs assembled)
Hello QRPers,
I'm having an issue with a new midband QMX (which is likely my fault!). I have no output power showing in my diagnostic screen after doing some testing with a a 20W QRPlabs dummy load.

Re: New QMX+ Inductor damage question
Hi Bruce,
This is a fairly common issue. I've had a few kits arrive with exactly the same damage. If the wires are intact and connected to the board, it should be OK.
