Re: QMX constant tone on RX
Mine is doing the same thing. It just started doing that after it locked up for no reason. I thought maybe it was due to me leaving it on 24/7 for 2 weeks.

Re: QMX constant tone on RX
Sounds exactly like my QMX .... Hate to say it, but sounds like the PCM1804 to me. Conard, WS4S ________________________________ Sent: Tuesday, December 3, 2024 8:15 PM To: [email protected]

Check and double check the connectors and their respective solder joints to the two power boards. Use flux when reflowing the solder. Make sure there are no solder bridges and that the boards are

#QMX #qmx
Just finished building a QMX. I followed every assembly step with as much care as possible. Performed an extensive visual inspection with magnifier before applying power.? Applied power...no smoke.

Re: QMX constant tone on RX
I have done some more tests after trying to make sure as many solder joints are ok; used flux when reflowing. Then, with a 12V SLA and buck converter/regulator set to 11.3V and listening to audio on a

Re: Display Problem With Newly Constructed QMX+
Just adding a shot of the QMX+ in service. I should have the new part tomorrow so I will be able to finish the build.

Re: Display Problem With Newly Constructed QMX+
Dan, I have attached a screenshot of the power bank and power cable that I have been using . The same company also makes a 12V version of the power cable if your radio has a transformer wound for that

Re: ATU-100
Peter Thanks - I guess I should have changed the subject line. But I am trying to find an ATU-10 kit, the QRP version to use with a QMX+ 73 Paul w2eck

Re: Post Build Diagnostics
Thank you Stan. Yes, I touched ALL of my solder joints. I'll go back and review L401, T401, and the LPFs though. I'll also take a picture of the board (top and bottom) and zoom in to look for anything

Re: Post Build Diagnostics
Ok - I'm glad that helped so much.? Many have found that their 'good' solder joints aren't so good, so you're definitely not alone. The scans do look much better, but you do still have problems. My

First of all, I want to thank all of you that responded to my post. I can follow directions, but I am definitely out of my element when it comes to understanding and troubleshooting this project (as

I restored the original connections in my QMX+ so that the LPFs are once again in the RX path. It made things generally worse, by a lot in some cases. The artefacts were due to the QLG3 which I have
