Re: QMX+ with HardRock 50+ amplifier
The QMX/QMX+ work fine down to a supply voltage of about 7.5V.? Somewhere around 7V it will cease to function.

QMX+ with HardRock 50+ amplifier
I am about to order a QMX+ which I plan to use with my HardRock 50+ amplifier/ATU.? The HR-50+ will operate in "QRP mode", in which the ampifier is switched off and the ATU is still operating; this

Re: QMX + manual tuner, SWR protection
I use a Emtec ZM-2 Z match tuner for my QRP rigs.? It has a Tune mode that puts a resistor bridge between the radio and the Z match, it also has a tune LED that will go out when you have a 1:1

Re: ABS for QMX+. Battery/charger design improvements over version 1.1 #PSU #QMXplus #ABS
Sardar, Dirk, I'm planning to order 5 rev. 1.3 Companion boards today so Stan and I can evaluate them. We think it's worthwhile to delay the big group buy so builders will not need to add large wires

Re: Auto-Tuner at 9V for 12V QMX/QMX+
I use an LDG RT-100 with my QMX's in QMX Test mode at home QTH and have for 9 months now. The RT-100 does a lot of hunting before settling in. So far so good. If I forget TEST mode, I get a SWR

Re: KANGA kits
I've built and use Kanga Pocket Transmatch with my QMX's. Half the size. I noticed that match on transmatch is different from match on rig. Read somewhere to match the rig. Makes sense.

Re: QMX + manual tuner, SWR protection
Eben, As Stan says, "Hardware tests -> SWR" is the way to go.? I reduced my 'voltage' setting to 40%, and use the hardware tests SWR measurement to set my Z match.? I have no fear of plugging in

Re: Auto-Tuner at 9V for 12V QMX/QMX+
Rich The EMTECH ZM-2 has an absorption bridge that is in during tuning. The radio being tuned never sees a greater than 2:1 SWR. -- 73 KD8CGH

Re: Auto-Tuner at 9V for 12V QMX/QMX+
An alternate to lowering the power is to use an attenuator (lots of different names) between the QMX and ATU, I use a QRPoMeter which is a very nice kit to build and provides an accurate SWR and also

I evaluated the BS170 voltages at various SWRs and frequencies.? It is clear that at 160m and 80m that the manufacture's voltage ratings are exceeded even with low SWR.? I believe on those bands ,

Another way to find Ed is with HamAlert ( https://hamalert.org/triggers ) , a service that will send SMS messages when triggers are fired.? Set up a trigger for Ed's callsign, CW mode, 40M band.?

HI, I use the ATU-10 om my QDX and no problem after a year of use, I have the QDX at 10Volt and it gives around 4 to 6 watt. My QDX is built for 12v but I had to reduce the voltage because of power

One more thing: both SMPS are in error state (red fields). But for more information we need the values (see my last post).
