Low power on all bands, QDX high bands, assembled at factory
All measurements of power from a Daiwa meter (lowest range is 15W) via dummy load (very brief tests on antenna almost identical).
20M - 10M power out shows as 2.3-2.5W. I don't, however, think this is

Re: I completed the assembly of the new QMX
unfortunately what I didn't want to happen happened, in unsoldering Q103 it
broke, and also the green paint of the board came off. I do not know what
to do. I just hope Hans can send me another

Re: #qmx Power supplies and the measured PWM
#qmx
OK, thank you for the answer to that.
But holding both ADC lines (3V3 and 5V) at 3V3 would mean the LIN_REG_EN signal to go low I assume.
So it would switch off the on-board 78M33 and thus prevent

Hi Jerry,
Can you post a photo of the underside of the board?

Re: QMX RF sweeps
Hans, I believe there was some mistaken identity between R510 and C510.? R510 is right next to C509. But that said, Karl still has a missing C509.

Re: QMX RF sweeps
Karl,
C509 is 0.1uF per page 18 of the assembly manual. It's also listed
that way on the schematic.

Re: QMX Failure Discovered...and new problem
Thanks John for the tips. It'll be checked after removal.
I still doubt the 5 V supply was ever high, but you're right, I don't know that for sure. Reasons I think it's unlikely is that if there was

Hans,
I just finished my QMX build, and all is OK after replacing a cracked C526, either by too much heat or careless wire cutters.? But all is good after replacement.
I guess lack of AGC means

#qmx QMX is up and running - except 30/20
#qmx
Hi all,
good news - my QMX is up now and we have clean signals on 80/60/40.
Only on 30/20 is something faulty.
First I thought the LPF is on bad condition but measurements (DMM in diode-test-mode)

Re: I completed the assembly of the new QMX
Thanks Rick and Paul. I also noticed that Q103 is very close to Q104. I
think I'll have to desolder Q103 to move it around a bit. I'll let you
know. thanks for your advice.73

Re: QMX RF sweeps

No matter what C510 is since Rick's radio receives an it is rhe same as mine. But I need to replace the missing C509 and have no idea what the value should

Re: QMX Failure Discovered...and new problem
Karl,
I checked that resistance during construction and after repairs. Very high resistance both times.

Re: QMX RF sweeps
Hi all
As is normal, none of the MLCC in the QMX have any markings are all. So
where are any of you seeing "103" on a capacitor which is supposed to be
"225" (2.2uF)... I'm feeling lost...

Thanks so much.? I completed my QMX build today, went through all the preliminary power board checks, loaded the firmware, and began testing.? No power out on any band!? Your inspection #3

Re: QMX RF sweeps
No marking, it's just an unmarked tan SMD.? The component next to C509 is resistor R510. C510 is closer to the USB port, and is also a tan, unmarked capacitor.

QCX-Mini problems
Hello all,
I just finished building my first QRP Labs project, a QCX-Mini for 10 meters.? I am new to this group and this is my first post.? Is this the appropriate group to discuss the QCX-Mini??
