Re: QDX xmit one flash
Thanks, Roger. The waterfall isn't showing anything. I'm really thinking this a sound card issue, but I've looked at everything I can think of related to audio devices in my computer. Could it be something with the USB jack? Wayne On Thu, Aug 24, 2023, 07:13 Roger Hill <rhill@...> wrote:

Re: QDX xmit one flash
开云体育Looks ok to me.
Sorry, I can't help much more. Is the waterfall display showing anything?
Maybe time to start checking the receive signal path back from the antenna socket.

Re: QDX xmit one flash
开云体育No. But what do you have the audio devices set as, in WSJT-X? Should be something like QDX-input, QDX-output. (Use F2 to go to settings, then the Audio tab).

But would that explain why the QDX is not hearing anything? I do have the output and input devices set in my audio settings to 100% |
QMX Draws 200mA when Power Applied
Hi All,
My QMX had the short between Q103/Q104 which was discovered before powering it up. The AOD403 was replaced as the original one fractured with modest pressure applied with the heatgun. The QMX was powered up tonight with 7V on a current limited supply to 250mA output.?? Current draw is about 200mA when power applied without switching the unit on.? The display is blank.?? Has this happened to anyone else??? Cheers, Glenn VK3YY. |
Re: QDX xmit one flash
开云体育From page 10 of the manual: LED flashes 2 times in quick succession, repeating every 1
second: the PC host software

OK...now I am getting two flashes on the LED. I am still not getting any audio in or out, however. |
Re: QDX xmit one flash
开云体育Do you have the power slider in WSJT-X set to maximum? It needs to be at max for the QDX to work.

I submitted a previous topic regarding the audio migration settings. That may not be the problem. I finished my QDX build and am now trying to get it to operate. It comes on just fine and I updated the firmware to 1.10. Cat control is fine, as well. The problem I am having seems to be with the audio. My QDX is not hearing anything nor does it transmit. When I place the QDX, I get just a single flash of the LED. I l found in the operations manual this means my QDX is not receiving any audio. I did check the WSJT-X settings and QDX is set as my input and output. It also appears the audio configuration on my computer (win11) shows full levels for the QDX input and output. I've changed USB cables, but that didn't fix anything. So, what is my next troubleshooting step? |

Re: No receive QMX
Hi Paul "Transmit enabled" means that you can? transmit. It? does not mean? you ARE transmitting. To transmit you press the T key. 73 Hans G0UPL On Thu, Aug 24, 2023 at 11:35?AM Paul Harrison via <dj0cu=[email protected]> wrote: Roger, I've been through the connections with a fine tooth comb, but no harm in doing it again., but it would be nice to know if "transmit enabled" should be permanently showing, as in my case, doesn't seem right. |

Hi Razvan
Thanks for your input - I meant only to rig up temporary linear supplies on my bench to check through the main-board, not as a permanent change The plan is :

New QRP-Labs product idea? A QMX/QDX based digimode / cat interface?
Important note : I know Hans is a very busy man doing great stuff for us, but the idea below came to mind this morning and had to write it down. ? Not just owning QRP-Labs rigs?I have made my fair share of digimode and CAT interfaces for my other rigs.? But playing with my QMX for a few days new and loving the single USB cable solution, the idea came to mind that it would be great to have a single USB cable digimode / cat interface for my other rigs. And looking at the QMX and QDX basically everything is there :
Only thing missing is some good isolation for the audio and CAT signal lines, and a connector to which these signal lines would be available to the outside world. If it would exist, I would immediately buy a 2 for my rigs.? Just a though. And again, see?Important note?above. -- 73 Lex PH2LB? |
