Re: Qmx L501 inductor Partially broken
The consensus seems to be it doesn't affect it at all. If you have the little piece and it bothers you super glue it later. You can search on broken coil etc.

Re: Dreaded dead transmit from SSB Calibration routine
Do not do it if your not comfortable.? Hans said calibration is not required and the unit works fine in SSB without it.

Re: Dreaded dead transmit from SSB Calibration routine
I still fear doing SSB calibration after uploading the firmware. . And won't. Perhaps Hans can suggest safe guidelines to do this, maybe it's a new firmware thing. [email protected]> wrote:

Qmx L501 inductor Partially broken
Received the kit from FedEx in a perfectly intact box. The content check was positive with the exception of the L501 inductor with the partially broken edge. Can this defect affect the operation of

Re: Dreaded dead transmit from SSB Calibration routine
Ludwig, I see. Well I decided to send it off to Jeff (W1NC) to have it fixed. If it comes back working, I will NOT be doing the SSB calibration again, that¡¯s for sure. Thank you for your input. Much

Re: New QMX+ Calibration victim
Hi Ludwig, Thanks for the link. It seems the LPF selection works fine, as voltages are like in the document also for the bands without any significant output power. However it seems that even though

Pacific Antenna mic kit works great!
I just built a Pacific Antenna mic kit for my QMX+ and it works great!! If you need a mic for your QRP-Labs transceiver kits I would look at this unit. Very simple to build and inexpensive. 73/GL

Plenty of PA's have inputs nowhere close to? 50 ohms resistive.? ? ?What does the nanovna see looking into the PA ( for interest as impedance will likely change markedly? with input power level )

SSB Cal problems with QMX (not +)
I have been running firmware 1_02_000 on my QMX+ with good results on CW and SSB (haven't tried Digi yet) since the release of that firmware. So yesterday, I updated my original QMX with 1_02. The

Re: Dreaded dead transmit from SSB Calibration routine
Robert, this would be wrong. There are rectangular pulses with 0 V for low and 5 V for high and duty cycle 50 %. Your DMM should read the mean value of 2.5 V. If realy 3 V IC503 could be wrong. This

Re: QMX SWR measurement is not correct while using with PA
Hi Sergey, It all depends on the design of the PA. Normally you won't use SWR protection in your transceiver if a PA is attached and working. Only if the PA is in pass-tru mode it could make sense.
