That's great Randy, thanks for the reply, I like blue displays so well that I have at least 6 new ones in stock and will be using one on my QMX+.

Works great! I've done it on both QMX and QMX+, other 16x2 QRP Labs kits like QLG2.

Hi,
While waiting for QMX+ kit to arrive I have been wondering if, I could use a nice blue display on my kit rather than the supplied one, I just prefer blue to the green/yellow ones. Has anyone

I guess you're not confirming, because if you had heard "very noisy" on a
QMX+ you would not suggest simply ignoring it.
I just ran trials on all bands and every band produced at least one

Re: the next time someone asks when SSB firmware will be ready
Hi Jerry,
Like every new year, I'm back to learning cw as it's my usual new year's resolution . But one mode that can be fun with any cw qrp mode would be hellschreiber, It's CW for the eyes !

It was with the last FW, I'll check what's wrong on the pcb, replace the failed components and report back here.

Thanks for the info Dan, I'll check the two pc boards. I was using the last FW, I thought I was safe with it but well, I'll change the components that failed.

Re: the next time someone asks when SSB firmware will be ready
You may not have heard of the Yaesu FT-817 that sold essentially unchanged for 22 years and is possibly the best selling amateur radio of all time.
In case it passed you by, it was a 5W CW/SSB radio.
