Re: QCX chip woes
So All,
Here's the final resolution to this problem. An older Arduino Uno. None of the tutorials talk about this fact, but right there in the code (remember RTFM? well there's also RTF...gCode!!)

Ready to start my QMX high band kit build.
The assembly manual recommends using a current-limited power supply for the first power-up.
What are members using for this. Lowest cost if

Re: QMX: Filter issues
Let's try again:
If a Rev2, the symptoms are typical of an IC402 failure.? This can be verified by measuring the bias voltage on pin 9 of IC402.? It should be close to 2.5 volts.
If it is a Rev1

Re: QMX: Filter issues
There is an error in the above:? Since L401 is connected to all 4 of the IC402 pins 3, 4, 5, and 6, all will be at 2.5 volts.? It is the capacitors (pins 10, 11, 12, and 13 that have either 2.5

With ongoing instances of enameled wire soldering issues being reported, I wonder whether it might be prudent for Hans to begin recommending physical removal in his instructions instead of the burning

Re: QMX repairs by W1NC
?????? I can also report stellar service from Jeff on my QMX.
Jeff provided sufficient context about his findings and fixes¡ªthereby enabling me to learn new things in the process.

Hi Sandy. The QCX has an encoder. Is this the same one that QMX uses?

Another cheer for Jeff. A 5V fault took out most of the receive section of my QMX. He found and replaced every blown IC and fixed a few bad solder joints that I didn't catch. The community is lucky to

SPOT ON!
It must be this... I discovered they actually sell BSS123 in Prague (one and only shop, but TG it sill exists). However, I was too fast and replaced the faulty 2N7002 by another 2N7002. It

Bob, This seems to be an uncommon issue. I have learned over the years in I.T. work that if I'm the only one with a particular problem, it's probably me. Double-check every solder joint. Perhaps you
