Re: No spots on wsrnet.org.
Hi Ed, I had same problem with my QCX Mini 20 meter. The number of spots I was getting was very low and all showed a drift of 4 Hz. I think anything greater than 4 Hz results in a no receive. I tried

Re: some fun with QCX but I need that AGC board to continue onward
I simply found for my 80m qcx plus it had way too much audio. So I added resistance to decrease its audio gain. It works, I can still copy weak signals. If I had to have agc in a plus I would homebrew

Re: QDX USB problems - new build #building #qdx
John, just thought but have you tried a different PSU to your QDX. I did have a few issues at start up on my QDX when I had the current limit too low on mine. 73 Ken g4apb

Re: QDX build - troubleshooting advice¡
Hi Alan, Our posts crossed in the ether. ?Thanks for your comments. ?Indeed, L9 had failed open - 0V on one side and 4.8V on the other. ?I removed it from the board and it was open. ?I¡¯ll find a

Re: QDX build - troubleshooting advice¡
An update - a bit of probing around the 20m LPF and I discovered that L9 had failed open. ?With 20m ON, the voltage on one side was zero volts and on the other side of L9, 4.8V. ?In circuit testing

Evan, Many thanks for your suggestions. ?Here¡¯s what I¡¯ve found: With 20m selected, the cathode voltages for both D3 and D6 are 4.8V, rather than zero volts, so there¡¯s something very odd here.

Re: some fun with QCX but I need that AGC board to continue onward
It is a pretty simple example of AGC, but the board is inexpensive and your ears will be a lot happier for having it. It's a breeze to install too, with the latest QCX+ revisions anyhow. No intricate

Re: No spots on wsrnet.org.
This is by far the best way. Receive WSPR, get to know it. Remove the RX antenna then it will monitor your own transmission, you can see what happens. Exact frequency, timing, drift all easily

Re: No spots on wsrnet.org.
WSPRNET shows in about 30-45 seconds as it takes time from a station hearing you, his Internet¡¯s lag time and so down the line. Some spots come in .longer. I have been following this thread and

Thanks, but it will not take [blank]WA7EM. It will take WA7EM{blank} and it will take WA7EMM. I discovered the oscillator calibration steps 8.11 and 8.12. I did them and seemed to work as documented.
