Re: Classic QCX C1 fully meshed
Think if it this way: adding turns of wire is cheaper, in the long run, and faster, and it can be done less destructively than replacing a cap. Given that sometimes one has to remove turns, then the

Re: QDX Very Very little output power on Transmit
Gentlemen, Thanks for the help. You where correct. I retested and I had ZERO output on all bands. I applied more heat for about 12-15 secs to all the filters and the output transformer T1. I now have

Re: QDX Very Very little output power on Transmit
Andrew, Are all bands showing the same issue into a dummy load?? Have you tried 80 meters into a dummy load?? It may be the LPF selection has an issue. The other thought that I had was one of the

Re: Classic QCX C1 fully meshed
Thanks again guys. I still don¡¯t understand if Hans in his wisdom suggests adding 5 turns and not mentioning that adding capacitance could maybe work as well that adding the capacitance has some

Andrew, As always check inductor wire soldering, especially as Hans says, the ones with thicker wire. Re-check, resolder anything that just looks slightly wrong - and those that do not. Measure the

Re: QDX Very Very little output power on Transmit
I had to go over the LPF inductors again on mine, as I was getting no output on 30 and 20m, which share L4 and L10. I'd recommend the same. Crank up the heat and hold it on those inductors for a good

Re: Nano VNA -H4 and PH2LB fixture for the low pass filter with NanoVNASaver software
Hello Larry, Try to compress or distribute the windings to see if you get a better pass through. I measured my 30m LPF and get a pass through of -0.42 dB on 10.150MHz. With the same turns as described

I finished the QDX build and during testing I show no output power on transmit to a dummy load. I installed an antenna to check receive. Receive works fine. I called CQ and checked PSK Reporter. I'm

I increased my supply of disk ceramics from digikey when I got into the QRP Labs kits. Mostly so I could modify the band I was building for, etc. I got an assortment of toroids as well.
