I still don¡¯t understand if Hans in his wisdom suggests adding 5 turns and not mentioning that adding capacitance could maybe work as well that adding the capacitance has some issues. His manual is so complete. ?
Anyway I will be content ?that I get the two peaks and finish up the alignment and get it in the BaMaTech case. Like I have said it¡¯s a tomb and once you get all the shaft extensions and other things installed you don¡¯t want to take it out of the case again. ?Quite ingenious to be developed after the fact that the board and other parts were not moveable so BaMaTech really did a great job with their case kit.

Dave did say that the circuit peaks, and does so twice; it's just that the place it peaks is very close to the fully meshed end of the symmetrical, two half-turns of the trimmer's range of operation.
As long as there are two peaks, one can be confident that one has adjusted the trimmer optimally.
