Re: Amplifier suggestions for the QMX+
I have used Micro PA-50+ for a couple of years. Chinese amp. Uses RF to detect band and PTT so no QMX connection other than RF. Reliable 50 watt out, but needs SWR less than 2. Price about $180 (at

Re: Feature Request List?
Maybe at 10Hz and 100Hz that would be helpful, but I wouldn't want it at 500Hz and 1kHz - I often want the offset to remain.

Re: Amplifier suggestions for the QMX+
The Hardrock-50 plus ATU kits. And I re-worked my HR-50 into the HR-50+ 100 watt amplifier. Good kits, well-done build instructions, and enjoyable to build (especially if you like winding toroids,

Re: Feature request 500/600Hz-Filter for SSB-mode
I would vote for a vote for a BPF with defineable edges. that would make it possible to limit for SSTV Peter

Re: Amplifier suggestions for the QMX+
Hi, The QCX+ has less than 5 watts output on the high bands. This limits the available options. It does seem to have more punch with CESSB. If you invest in a better antenna, like a HexBeam that seems

Re: Amplifier suggestions for the QMX+
Hardrock-50 is a great amp. ?Combined with my Smart Power Attenuator (SPA), they make a great driver for a linear. Shameless plug: www.wa2tdesigns.com ( http://www.wa2tdesigns.com ) 73, Robert, WA2T

Re: Feature Request List?
Hans, One feature I would like to see (very low priority), is a VFO "roundup" feature.? On my TR-35, if I am in 10Hz tuning mode I might dial to say, 14.07036, and when I change to 100Hz and dial it

Re: QMX PTT timing
Hans:? Would it be possible to set different delay timings on the "+" and "_" PTT outputs?? In some cases this would eliminate the need for a sequencer. Thanks and 73, Don N2VGU

Re: Amplifier suggestions for the QMX+
Arne, A 10W amplifier will give you only about 1/3 of an S unit at the receiving station, not a lot of help. I would go for 20-50w. My research has found several that claim to be linear, i.e. usable

Re: Loud pop sound in 32 ohm stereo headphones when powering QMX on and off
I get the same noise from my 2 month old QMX+ and also from my 3 year old QCX+.? (Interestingly enough, it has not been an issue with my QDX) I think it's a feature, not a bug... ;-)? You learn to

Re: Loud pop sound in 32 ohm stereo headphones when powering QMX on and off
Yes, on my QMX and my QMX+. "Loud" probably depends on headphone impedance.? I never paid attention to it until trying the QMX+ last week with a powered speaker, where the pop was more noticeable. I

Feature request 500/600Hz-Filter for SSB-mode

Re: QMX PTT timing
Thanks for the reply Hans! Definitely agree that this should be applied only in semi QSK mode. I can imagine trying to ad such a delay for full QSK would lead to some very uncomfortable keyer timing.
