That worked.? Must confess I hadn't bothered with ModemManager before as it just worked. :-) ?
For anyone else not using a 3/4/5G modem or something similar on Linux with systemd
Check if its running ? ? ?systemctl list-dependencies multi-user.target | grep Modem Disable and stop service ? ? systemctl disable ModemManager.service
? ? systemctl stop ModemManager.service If you really, really don't need it (debian based distros like *buntu ) ? ? ?sudo apt-get purge modemmanager ?
