Re: QMX T401 and IC402: Continuity issue
#qmx
Hi Jim, is there no continuity from each of the 6 points of T401? Did you measure from the pad or touching the cut surface of the wire? Please check by touching only the pads. Maybe one wire is not

Re: Troubleshooting new Rev 3 QMX build - lack on continuity between RF IN and C402
All the contacts between different layers are made by a metal plating of the surface of the hole. It's something like a really thin tube around the hole. I'm afraid this could be to much. Each heating

Re: Troubleshooting new Rev 3 QMX build - lack on continuity between RF IN and C402
Tyler, my take on this is that the Si5351A will not work for your P33 radio. Pages 10,11 and 29 of the Instruction Manual (pages 17,18 and 34 of the PDF) explain how the speech audio varies the trans

On QMX kit Rev 3, high-band version I?successfully made and wound the trifilar winding for T401 and confirmed continuity, before and after soldering to the board, between A-A, B-B and C-C of T401. On

Hello Mike, yes, but only if the pp voltage of the rf signal is higher than the supply voltage. If not, D506 never is condutive. 73, Ludwig

Re: I let the smoke out¡
Hi Mike, indeed. It looks like LPF2 is in parallel to LPF0, not good. Maybe there is a short from Q511 drain to GND or from the connected parts of LPF2 to GND. I would inspect these region using a

Very high, dangerous without a good load. For more investigation avoid sending and reduce supply voltage to around 7 V for short tests. Please connect a dummy load and go to Terminal - Hardware tests
