Re: Progrock 2
Hi Roger,
I think I'd do that.? If it's running that hot, it's pulling too much current for some reason.
Before doing so, I'd have a very close look at your solder work, assuming you added pins.?

QMX Kit Shipping Turn-Around?
Looking for data on what (if any) delay there is in the shipping of a QMX kit and enclosure. My last one took three months from a March order to ship - are they going out now in a day or so?

Thanks, Bruce. Unfortunately, even after adding the user to the "dialout" group, there's still no output via the "cat" command.

QMX Repair
Just wanted to thank Jeff Moore W1NC for resurrecting my QMX.? It had 5V SMPS problems that probably caused the CPU 5V_PWM pin to short.? Jeff was able to diagnose the problem? fix the SMPS board

Yes, good continuity of all five encoder pins, and no shorts to the body of the encoder.? But I will probably check it again in the morning.? That's also the encoder nearest the power supply.? I

I wonder if it's the "add user to the dialout group" issue ... do a search for "dialout"
on the group here.

Chris, I don't think a resource like that exists. Perhaps a short paragraph
or two can be found in the classic text "Transmission Line Transformers" by
the late Jerry Sevick W2FMI.

Re: QDX transmit troubleshooting advice¡
Q9 is in parallel with Q11. They are supposed to share the load equally. Perhaps Q11 is defective as an open circuit, or poorly soldered, or just has a much higher than normal on resistance so that Q9

Hard to tell, but a number of possibilities have been mentioned here. In addition to the obvious ones (maybe the other transistors failed open?), the driver IC could have failed, or the replacement
