Re: QDX with 50W AMP - Problem with Q6
Some observations from all the testing I have done of the QDX HB 20m and QDX LB 40 and 30m's. The QDX and the Amp will run all day long without any problems if you make sure of the following, 1. The

Re: QDX with 50W AMP - Problem with Q6
Ooops, after reading your email again - I am indeed making use of the QDX 5v signal and the QDX and the Amp are linked with a normal stereo male to male cable. 73 Timo ZR6TM

USB Clock Power?
#clock
#gps
Looking forward to the arrival of my clock and GPS kits. Has anyone tried using a USB charger to provide 5V 1A? I plan to leave it powered up 24/7.

Re: QDX with 50W AMP - Problem with Q6
Yes correct, the QDX is configured to provide the 5v signal to the amp, and this is done by making use of a normal stereo male jack on both sides.?Are you suggesting I perhaps build a small relay

I love the QDX, but some modes, such as FST4W-300, require more frequency stability than the stock QDX can provide.? After much study I ended up adding a tiny "reference clock multiplier" board

I have a full BPQ node running at the house but have changed out the QDX for a TS-590S for now.? I have a VHF node as well but it doesn't connect to much.? I think the integration of the internet

Re: QDX with 50W AMP - Problem with Q6
Timo, Just a thought - I presume you are using the Amp PTT jack (configured to key your amp) on the QDX? If you are not - that may be the problem, as there will be RF flowing momentarily into an open

Good to know Josh. I was kinda curious, and thought that the info might be of interest to some QDX owners seeking another mode to play with. I'm a VERY old school packet racket man, from the days when

Re: QDX pairs nicely with the Micro PA50
I advise against using RF keying; it invariably places an open circuit on the driving transmitter during TX/RX switchover, AFTER the transmitter has started transmitting.? The amp does not have RF to

QDX on packet radio ?
I wonder if anyone has tried the QDX on 300bd/1200bd packet radio (Bell 202 modem)? There's a contest in two weeks coming up. http://ww2bsa.org/ww2bsa-packet-contest.htm I'm also hearing AX25 packet

Re: QDX 80M to 20M Seemed to Be Working Fine But Not Now Can Anyone Offer Any Advice
Andrew, I would second Bojan's advice that you really need a simple dummy load and RF diode detector to make some measurements. You may already have the components required to make something up...

Re: QDX 80M to 20M Seemed to Be Working Fine But Not Now Can Anyone Offer Any Advice
Andrew, The LED just indicates whether the processor "thinks" the QDX is transmitting. If it indicates TX but there is no output then something must be wrong in the QDX. 73 Alan G4ZFQ
