low power for qcx
good evening everyone,
indications for the list and low audio for qcx, it may seem obvious I'm talking about my modest experience but apparently the lm4562 does not like at all the impedances of 8

Re: QCX Build in a ALU case
Also love the compact solid build, very nice work! Now if only there were a way to access the micro-switch straight key. I don't suppose anyone has any ideas on that?

Re: Low audio gain and no power out with 20m QCX
OK Alan,
No I don't have a scope. I think the best thing I can do is replace Q6 (I've just ordered four new MPS751s) and if that doesn't cure it I will pass it on to someone better placed to

Re: What are QLG LEDs telling me?
Either the IC1 is blown, or the GPS module (or both).
DMM pin 20 of the GPS module (safer to measure on R1). A periodically
varying ~3.3V signal indicates a working GPS module.
If there's a varying

Re: Low audio gain and no power out with 20m QCX
Steve,
The others do not comment?
Normally if the IC is being clocked a meter will show about 1/2 the supply voltage, about 2.5 volts. While some meters will be affected by the RF this does not seem

Re: Future firmware request: Low battery audible warning
Nice feature, but kind of scary to run the lithium battery flat without
monitoring the individual cells. There's no way for the QCX to detect this
on cell level.
I personally would definitively use a

Re: QCX, 20m Bandpass modified, T37-6 cores out of tolerance
Interesting, I just went to this site:
http://www.gqrp.com/technical2.htm
and it concurs with your number of windings on the T37-6. However I
have another document revised by George Dobbs - G3RJV

Re: Low audio gain and no power out with 20m QCX
If the original problem was a short on one of the Q1-Q3 then Q6 will
probably be dead as well. Change it to the new MPS751 (or similar) instead
of MPS2907.
I don't see any reason that Q5 should be

Re: Low audio gain and no power out with 20m QCX
Hi,
I have now replaced all the BS170s at Q1, Q2 and Q3? - no difference. Pin 1 of IC3 has 4.75V on it key up and 4.72V on it key down.?
The gates (Q2 centre pin) have 5.58V key up and 5.52V key
