U2 spotted
Hi Group
I will start a folder of captures of the U2.
To start it off here is GJ7RWT U2 on WSPR this morning.
There could even be other U2's there, mine is shown but is merely on soak test into a

Re: U2 and all LPF kits finished
Hi Colin
Instead of square waves you may be getting a low level squiggly sine wave as drive from the DDS, try adjusting the blue potentiometer on the DDS board for equal mark / space ratio on pin 7,

U2 and all LPF kits finished
Hi to all members.
I have just finished building the LPF's and I get about 500mW on 160m up to 17m which is about 300mW and then for some reason 15m = 70mW only and 12 and 10m must below 10mW (my

Re: Something else for the wish list ? (plus other thoughts)
Hi Andy
I'm very glad that you are enjoying yourself with the kits! Thank you for
the patience while I sort out the issues. We have a lot less issues this
time than with the original "Ultimate" kit

Hi Hans,
Well I suppose if it's possible then that would be a nice addition,
but I'm sure you have better priorities in life ;-)
At this point I'd like to thank you for all the work you have put

Re: Something else for the wish list ?
Ok well I think I have space for it.
I removed a feature which I have never heard of anyone using which is the
"Inv FSK" feature. Removing that created a little more memory.

No complaints if Hans can do it without stealing memory from other wishes but are wide beacons not the domain of of official and more QRO beacons? Not sure here how QRP would

Re: Something else for the wish list ?
Yep, *LOTS & LOTS* of beacons do it, though usually up to about
300Hz or so.
(999Hz just happened to be me thinking about the max user enterable
size in a menu).
Ir means that if you a beacon with

Re: Something else for the wish list ?
Hi Andy
Ok I think I get it. So you're saying you want a fast, wide FSK mode for
use on 10m, with speed entered in WPM and supporting FSK up to 999Hz. Wow.
Do people actually *use* this!?

Re: UQRSS 2 kit finished and first spots on 40m
Hi Hans,
Thanks for the quick reply, I thought that was what I had to do I will have to use the trial and error method here.

Re: Something else for the wish list ?
We know you have not got enough to do :-)))
Unless I'm mistaken - not quite.
As I understand it, the speed setting is the WPM for the ON/OFF
keyed CW, and the dot length on QRSS/FSKCW.
What I had

Re: UQRSS 2 kit finished and first spots on 40m
Hi Colin
Section 9 of the manual, on page 28, deals with calibration. You need to
determine the frequency of the 125MHz reference oscillator and enter this
into the "Ref. Frq." configuration

Re: Something else for the wish list ?
Hi Andy
Ok ok ok. I'll add it to the list!
When you say "speed setting in WPM" - doesn't the kit already do this?
There is a CW mode, where the speed setting means WPM.
FYI I have been working this

UQRSS 2 kit finished and first spots on 40m
Hi to all members of the group,

Something else for the wish list ?
Wideband FSK CW.
By wideband I mean 200Hz or so as used by many 28Mhz beacons plus
speed setting in WPM.
(FSK could be any value up to 999Hz)
Would be great for playing fox hunting, or running
