T1 heating...
If heating you means warm such as 10F or 5C increase that's normal.
If warm means more than 120F, that suggest something is not right?
IF Hot (greater than 140F/60C, something is very wrong and you have a short.
Generally a shorted turn (winding) will have significant heating, also a short
elsewhere in the circuit.
NOTE the ferrite stops being ferrite (Curie Point) at 150C, well above the
temp where one touching that would be burnt.
I use the FB43-202 to as high as 10W (sustained) with no issues.
