Just finished my QDX Rev 2. All checks on board, for shorts, opens and voltages were good. Powered up with good current (115 mA on Rx).?
Installed STM driver as per manual, but cannot get Win7 laptop to recognize it. No ports at all noted in device manager. WSJT-X only shows USB as a way to connect.
Went into Computer Management and added port from STM which gave a COM15. However this is present whether QDX is present or is not present.?
Connected QDX to Win10 laptop and all functions normally. Tx works on all bands and Tx power draw into a dummy load on all bands is as expected (780-1000 mA) at 8 volts. The QDX is built for 9V operations. Status LED is as expected.
Question is, did I get the right driver for Win7 or is there another driver I need?? (I used the STM32102 suggested in the manual.)
