The regulator was fine. I replaced the multiplexer and flip flop in the receiver and the microprocessor in the vfo.?
As soon as I turned it on I had beautiful copy of wwv. I tried a lm386 audio amp and hated the hiss and power on pop
it produces so I tried a couple of other audio amps. I settled on the tda7297 It sounds so beautiful now.?
next I installed the audio band pass filter from 4sqrp because I am a cw op. !!? That worked out wonderful.?
I did not use the lm386 on board, I just took my output before it. What a nice little all band radio.
