You might want to consider this kit:
I built one and use it with an old computer power supply and it provides clean stable DC output.?
I even put it in a black plastic box so it was ¡°pretty¡±.?
The computer power supply I used had a ferrite bead on the leads but if yours doesn¡¯t you might want to add one.?
